Biogas Resource Centre
BIOTECH was selected as the technology partner of NIRD&PR considering its long-term operation and special contribution towards biogas and other sustainable development projects. BIOTECH provides technology partnerships in areas such as bio-waste treatment, implementation of biogas projects and sustainable agricultural development. The BIOTECH is functioning as part of NIRD’s Rural Technology Park (RTP).
As part of the MoU with NIRD, a Biogas Resource Center (NIRD&PR) has been set up by BIOTECH at the NIRD campus. Working models of different types of biogas plants are displayed in this centre. Apart from this, compost gardens of various sizes and aquaponics systems have also been installed. The Biogas Resource Center also has a complete training center for imparting practical training in the manufacturing of different models of portable biogas plants.
Visitors to the Biogas Resource Center are getting an opportunity to learn first-hand the use of various technologies and get training in them. The Biogas Resource Center is visited by many people every day, both locals and foreigners.
BIOTECH considers it as a pride project that be able to start the Biogas Resource Center for NIRD at a time when the issues of bio-waste treatment, non-conventional energy production, and sustainable agricultural development are much discussed.
